Abstract
MULTIRADICALS4LIGHT targets the design, synthesis, and testing of a new family of organic semiconductors based on the p-quinodimethane (pQDM) scaffold, with tunable diradical character, expanding the current limited knowledge on their luminescence mechanism via computational investigations. The final aim is to develop multifunctional poly-halogenated Thiele hydrocarbons, (TTHs) featuring unique electro-optical properties that are suitable for high-efficiency electroluminescence device architectures such as the organic light emission transistor (OLET).
